Successful presentation of the Institute for Contemporary Education at the multi-congress “Serbian Visions”
The Institute for Contemporary Education participated in the multi-congress “Serbian Visions” this year as well.
The discussion topic at the presentation of the Institute for Contemporary Education was “How to form healthy habits in students?”, and the guest panelists were: Zvonimirka Jovičić, who has a Master’s degree in Teaching Methodology of Mathematics and is a pedagogical adviser, Gordana Pavlović, grade teacher and educator, Uroš Krstović, extracurricular activities and school band coordinator, Miloš Petrović, music teacher, Stefan Radojičić, physical education teacher, Mladen Stanković, physical education teacher, Marija Ivanov, physical education teacher, and Vladimir Miljković, physical education teacher.
Great experience, knowledge and professionalism marked the presentations of the panelists. They talked about important topics of health, physical activity, habits and changing those habits. They expressed their opinions on whether the students are being listened to enough, as well as suggestions on how to balance the demands of parents and the students’ abilities. They agreed that teachers can help a lot in the formation of healthy habits, but that the family is crucial for their foundation and maintenance. They also agreed on how important it is for students not to overburden themselves, to learn to set healthy boundaries and accept success and failure as an integral part of life.
The discussion, which interested a large number of colleagues who confirmed with their comments that the panelists answered the topic very well, ended with the conclusion that we should be an example to the students and encourage the best in them with our behavior.
