Another successful collaboration between the Institute for Contemporary Education and the “Wikimedia Serbia” association

An accredited seminar “Application of online wiki tools in teaching and learning” was held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Institute for Contemporary Education.

By attending the seminar, teachers were given the opportunity to improve their digital competencies and master the use of information and communication technologies in the implementation of the educational process.

During the theoretical part, the teachers learned what the basic principles of a wiki project are, how wiki tools are presented, how to create articles, how to check the openness and availability of content, how to connect different content, how to license content on the Internet and respect intellectual property, but also how, together with their students, they can increase the availability of educational content in the Serbian language on the Internet. The practical part of the seminar gave them the opportunity to learn how to create new or supplement existing articles on Wikipedia, which can be useful didactic material.

The organizers Nebojša Ratković and Milica Ševkušić provided help, advice and suggestions all the time during the seminar.

This was another successful collaboration between the Institute for Contemporary Education and the “Wikimedia Serbia” association, which will of course, to mutual satisfaction, further continue.
