Citizen 2.1, Final Project Meeting, December 6 – 7, Kaiserslautern, Germany
The Citizen 2.1 project, of which the Institute for Contemporary Education is a partner, held its final meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 6 and 7, in Kaiserslautern, Germany. After two years of project activities, a lot of material and different experiences of partners from four countries (France, Belgium, Germany and Serbia) were collected.
The project focuses on the digital competencies of teachers and other participants in the education system, and their need to transfer their knowledge to students in a modern way. The summary is that it is necessary to prepare trainers and teachers first, because modern generations of students are digital natives (Gen Z), and they were born in the digital era, so teachers must be even better prepared.
Through cooperation on the project, we found and defined new strategies, seeing what our partners are doing in the field of professional education.
The outcome of the project is the preparation of an online guide and recommendations on innovative tools presented to us in the participating countries (France, Belgium, Germany and Serbia).
The guide will be organized into eight clusters, inspired by DigComp, (The European Framework for the Digital Competence) and will have the task to help vocational schools and training centers in their digital transformation.
The Institute for Contemporary Education will present examples of good practices in Serbia as part of the guide.
