A GREAT HONOR FOR SERBIA: ICE part of World Education Summit 2021

Osiris Education, the leading teacher training provider, is organizing the World Education Summit 2021 (WES 2021) from March 22 through 25, 2021. The summit will welcome 250 representatives of the education elite, who will share their knowledge, skills and professional competencies with 100,000 teachers from all continents.

We are immensely proud of the fact that the Academic Director of ICE and the LINK edu Alliance, Dr Svetlana Belić Malinić, will be among the world-renowned speakers at the summit. At the international level, Svetlana has been recognized as a leader in contemporary education pedagogy and an advocate for creativity in education, on which she will give an interesting and interactive presentation at the summit.

The topic Dr Belić Malinić will present at WES 2021 refers to metacognitive creativity, which is used to describe the creative processes of thinking and teaching. This is an important area of teaching which changes the domain of education, strengthens students’ imagination, ingenuity and creativity, and contributes to the development of their critical thinking and deduction skills. 

Why is ICE’s participation at the summit an important step for education?

During eight dynamic virtual workshops spanning four time zones, participants around the world will learn from the leading education strategists, obtain practical advice, and get inspiration that will encourage all teachers to change their educational paradigm and start a revolution with their students.

Participation in the summit provides teachers with over 100 hours of professional development and the opportunity to bring global practices to our country. Also, this is an opportunity for Serbia and the Institute for Contemporary Education to position themselves on the global education map and promote the values of our education system. 

GLOBAL CONFIRMATION OF QUALITY: 5 LINK edu Alliance schools in the Cool Schools category

WES 2021 will also champion the best schools in the world. In order for schools to receive a Cool Schools title, they are required to meet strict criteria that includes equipment, educational technology, infrastructure, and teaching methods which must be tailored to each individual student.
