Accredited seminar “Successful Partnership with Parents =
good for children + good for us + good for them”
The Institute for Contemporary Education and “Obrazovanje plus” organized a seminar for all education professionals “Successful Partnership with Parents = good for children + good for us + good for them” on February 22 and 23. The seminar was organized by Vesna Radonić, school counselor at “Kralj Petar Prvi” elementary school, and Biljana Subotić, class teacher at “Đura Jakšić” elementary school in Belgrade.
Attendees of the two-day seminar had the opportunity to develop their competences for communication and cooperation. The theoretical and practical aspect of the seminar explained how to recognize parents’ needs, familiarized the attendees with the main problems faced by parents with children of different ages, and introduced them to the types of parenting styles and the role of temperament in the child’s communication with parents.
The participants learned about the requirements for successful partnership with parents, how to recognize the nature of conflicts, identify the most common conflicts with parents, and were trained to implement tools that allow each teacher to develop an efficient strategy for successful interaction and partnership with parents.
A great number of our colleagues from preschool institutions, elementary and secondary schools attended the seminar. The organizers from “Obrazovanje plus” provided free attendance for teachers from the LINK educational alliance and members of ICE, and the Institute for Contemporary Education gifted one professional development program in the field of personal and professional development to all attending colleagues.
Positive practical experiences, valuable tools and techniques, as well as good ideas are just some of the resources this seminar provided to the attendees.
