Interactive workshop “Lessons of Understanding and Joy”

On Thursday, December 12, the Institute for Contemporary Education hosted an interesting NLP workshop “Lessons of Understanding and Joy”. The presenters were Tamara Vlahović and Bojana Šajatović, developmental skill coaches at the Life&Mind studio for education and NLP methodology which is part of IANLP.

The attendees learned how to revive the way they think, speak and behave. In addition, they saw how expectations and communication goals can be interpreted in different ways, as well as how important it is to understand your interlocutor. The coaches encouraged the ICE members to think about the importance of defining communication strategies and identifying the mistakes that occur as a result of shaping one’s thoughts and words based on one’s environment, experiences and assumptions about other people.  

The workshop underlined the fact that successful communication with students and their parents, colleagues, friends and family members depends on the willingness of each person to examine their communication style and check for predefined communication frameworks that can generate satisfaction, but also disappointment, i.e. misunderstandings.
