This is a unique opportunity for elementary school students to exercise their cognitive skills, have fun and win valuable prizes. Register your team here!
Brainfinity prepares students for success in the 21st century
The goal of Brainfinity is to enable students to adopt the principles of project-based learning and apply the knowledge gained at school in a familiar context.
At Brainfinity, students use their skills in physics, math, logic and other subjects to solve problems in an informal and relaxed environment. They have at their disposal computers, phones, iPads and other devices. This type of challenge is designed to develop the children’s curiosity, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and the key Pisa skills for the 21st century.
Professor Ivan Anić, who was part of the Brainfinity 2019 jury, believes that the contest changes the perception of learning.
“At Brainfinity, the children tackle real problems, making math functionally applicable”, says Ivan.
Last year’s Brainfinity gathered many teams from all over Serbia which enjoyed the challenges and delighted the jury with their creativity, ingenuity and teamwork.
“The competition was very interesting. All of us communicated, solved problems and spent quality time together”, says Iva, a member of last year’s winning team.
About Brainfinity
Brainfinity 2020 has two stages: the Brainfinity challenge, which takes place on Saturday, March 14, and the Brainfinity finals, scheduled for Saturday, April 25.
In the challenge, all registered teams have 2 hours to complete 3 tasks from any location. The tasks will be available in Serbian and English on the Brainfinity homepage. The teams send their answers to the jury and the five best teams in each class qualify for the finals which take place at the Institute for Contemporary Education in Belgrade, where they face new logical tasks.
All the teams need to partake in the competition is a computer, Internet connection, creativity and enthusiasm.

Take a look at last year’s edition of the Brainfinity finals:
Finalists can gain additional points provided by their schoolmates, friends and family members through shares on Facebook and likes on Instagram. Taking into account that Brainfinity inspires students to be creative, the teams will also receive points for the most original logo and team name.
It’s not just about the prizes: What makes Brainfinity so unique?
Problem solving is one of the most efficient teaching methods for student development. Unlike standard school competitions, Brainfinity inspires students to be highly engaged and solve tasks without stress and fear of failure as there is no single correct answer. The children are detectives, explorers, time travelers and entrepreneurs whose task is to solve a particular problem. There is no cramming at Brainfinity, as the competition champions knowledge, ingenuity and teamwork. It encourages the development of multiple intelligences among children, which is why it’s suitable for all types of students, regardless of whether they rely on creativity, logic, intuition, etc. Each of them has a unique problem-solving contribution.
As with the most successful school systems in the world, this competition is a blend of learning and playing through which children accomplish top results, achieve their full potential and discover skills they didn’t know they possessed which are highly important for their future education.
The best teams will win valuable prizes that will motivate them even more to give their best, while the teachers of the winning teams receive a one-year membership at the Institute for Contemporary Education and access to cutting-edge educational resources that will enable them to make a breakthrough in their career.
