What is the future of education in the digital world like?
As part of the Citizen 2.1 project, whose partner is the Institute for Contemporary Education, an international meeting was held on the topic “Digital Citizen 2.1: Paradigm of Digital Transition”.
During the mentioned event, we were visited by 23 educational experts from 3 different European countries: Belgium, France, and Germany, including representatives of the Ministry of Education of France, organizations for professional training and digital education services, ogranizations for lifelong learning, university laboratories, one chamber of commerce, and three national education departments.
Through this event, we presented exceptional projects, practices and ideas from Serbia and other countries on the topic of using modern educational technology (such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AR, VR, blockchain, etc.).
The event started in front of the Institute when professor Sanja Todosijević presented Link Educational Alliance, and then Zorana Bodiroga, director of K–12 schools, and teacher Maja Babić presented the use of robots in education.
Katarina Stečić from the Center for the Promotion of Science presented us with the future of STEM education, as well as the Maker space laboratory, and Dr Branislav Kisačanin, from the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, presented his view on the use of AR in modern education.
On the second day, the guests visited the Nikola Tesla museum and the ITHS campus, and on the last day, Gloria Martinović from the Urban Development Center presented them with the use of AR (Augmented Reality) for the purpose of promoting cultural heritage, as well as the blockchain supercluster “Odličan 3”.
The last speaker, Bojan Antović, Director at Planetsoft gave us a clear overview of blockchain technology and how it could be used in the field of education.
