Kick off BYP
The very first project we coordinated – Behave Your Prints, kicked off with a two-day meeting in Belgrade in late May. The project is targeted at young people, and aims to raise their awareness of the importance of the digital footprint they make with their posts on social media, and in cyber space in general.
We have assembled a great consortium dominated by partners from ex-Yu republics (Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia), whereas our experienced partners from Albania and the Czech Republic were there to help with their expertise. Each of the partners gave their contribution to the project in the meeting, and presented ideas for work packages they will be in charge within the project.
The overwhelming impression of the meeting is that all partners approached the project with great enthusiasm. It was agreed how the innovative Behave Your Prints methodology, entrusted to the organization Smart Idea from Slovenia, will develop in the future. EUDA, our partners from Prague, presented how they will organize training for youth workers, and Beyond Barriers from Tirana underlined that youth exchange will be organized in the coastal town of Durrës, in order to provide our young participants with as pleasant and inspirational an environment as possible for the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. The Sarajevo team, Edukopro, is in charge of dissemination and communication of the project at European level, whereas Mensa Crna Gora from Podgorica, as newcomers to European projects, are ready for the exchange of knowledge and acquisition of new skills related to project management.
Erasmus projects also involve introducing partners to the host country’s cultural and historical heritage, so we spent our afternoons together visiting the most famous Belgrade sites, including an unforgettable evening in the bohemian Skadarlija District. The messages of praise we have received from our partners after their departure only confirmed that we have succeeded in our intention to be good and hospitable hosts, just as our national tradition dictates.
