On Saturday, September 21, 2019, the Institute for Contemporary Education’s Center for Professional Education, in cooperation with Wikimedia Serbia, organized a seminar entitled ‘Application of Wiki Tools in Teaching and Learning’.
The seminar was organized for the members of the Institute for Contemporary Education (ICE), whose annual membership allows them to attend ICE’s accredited professional development programs free of charge. ICE also enabled external teachers to take part in the seminar entitled ‘How to Use Wikipedia in Teaching’.
At the workshops, the teachers created original Wikipedia articles, checked the authenticity of topics and articles and learned how to use Wiki tools in teaching.
The following members took part in the program of the accredited seminar: Gordana Pavlović, Mirjana Čolak, Maja Pavlović, Jasminka Ivanović, Milena Žuža, Jovana Marić, Suzana Lazović, Suzana Filipović, Nada Bojić, Violeta Pavlović and Ljiljana Vučetić.
Teacher Mirjana Stamenković received the award at the seminar for her idea on using Wikipedia in teaching, which included interesting research tasks and/or projects for students, as well as the guided research of available online teaching information.
