The first gathering of members of the InspirED Teachers Club and members of the Institute for Contemporary Education was held
At the Institute for Contemporary Education, the first gathering of members of the InspirED Teacher Club and members of the Institute for Contemporary Education was held, organized by the Center for Career Development.
The idea was to get together and meet colleagues who have similar ideas in the field of education and a common vision regarding changes in education.
Selena Vračar, PhD student at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, Department of Psychology held the lecture “End of the school year – impressions and reflection: Teachers have the word” for all those present. A discussion was held simultaneously with the lecture because the colleagues present had a great desire to actively participate and share their experiences about the end of the school year.
The majority felt relieved because the end of the school year was approaching, but questions were also raised as to whether everything was done properly, whether the children could have achieved better results and who has greater responsibility for the success of the students.
The topic of online teaching also had to be brought up, its advantages, but also the consequences that this way of teaching had on children, especially on students who had lower results even before that.
Along with the stories about challenges, there was also talk about the importance of feedback from students, self-doubt and doubt about whether a job was well done.
The volume of work, many obligations and expectations were also mentioned. However, regardless of that, what all colleagues have in common is a positive approach to work and the desire to be part of changes, to discuss and come up with common solutions.
In the coming period, the Institute for Contemporary Education will continue to organize member gatherings and, as before, to support every teacher who wants to successfully go through all the challenges of their calling.
