The first group of teachers passed the seminar “Development of higher levels of thinking through problem-based teaching”
On the premises of the Institute for Contemporary Education, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, the seminar “Development of higher levels of thinking through problem-based teaching” was held, led by Dr Ivan Anić, an associate at the Institute for Contemporary Education and professor at the Information Technology School – ITS in Belgrade, along with colleague Aleksandra Rosić, a professor at ITS.
The seminar deals with general issues of teaching and is intended for class teachers and subject teachers in elementary and grammar schools, as well as general education teachers and vocational education teachers in secondary vocational schools.
Teachers from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Lazarevac attended the seminar, and some of them have been members of the Institute for Contemporary Education for many years.
Their many years of experience in working with students, but also in writing books and seminars, enriched the content of the seminar – they transferred knowledge to interested colleagues that will help them in practice to encourage the development of functional knowledge, skills and attitudes, teamwork and the development of higher levels of thinking in students.
The lecturers presented the importance of problem-based learning, suggested ways to implement it in practice and gave numerous tips on how to keep up with the progress of education.
In the coming period, the Institute for Contemporary Education is planning on implementing other accredited activities that will help teachers in their professional development and training.
