Skills Between Students and Teachers –

Prerequisite for Student Progress

The Institute for Contemporary Education’s Center for Professional Development, in cooperation with the Center for Mediation and Nonverbal Communication, is organizing an accredited seminar entitled ‘Communication Skills Between Students and Teachers – Prerequisite for Student Progress’, on Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Institute (5 Masarikova Street 5, Belgrade Palace, 3rd floor, entrance from Kralja Milana Street, the Science Hub classroom).

The seminar is designed to develop communication and cooperation competencies (K4), priority area P4. Participation in the seminar enables you to gain the skills that will facilitate knowledge acquisition and allow you to create a creative atmosphere in class and develop synthetic thinking among students.
In addition to gaining skills and knowledge, the attendees will obtain the ZUOV certificate with 16 points for professional development outside the institution.

What will you learn?

The goal of the seminar is to train teachers to apply mediation as a reliable and unbiased method for resolving conflicts. Training in active listening, nonverbal speech and the psychology of lying provides teachers with skills necessary to appropriately react in conflict situations. Teachers will learn how to enable conflicting parties to hear and respect each other and resolve conflict through agreement.

The seminar also includes workshops in which the participants will practice active listening and nonverbal communication in real-life situations.
